I agree, Common Sense is far more useful in todays society, but getting a college degree is still a feat, and it cannot hurt anything

Well, put it this way. If they had been a little bit more successful at finishing the job, there would be 178 less posts in this thread today.

That's the amount of sacrifice I put on the line. And I never did get the paper anyway, so it was really all for f$#k.

178 less posts......well maybe it ain't a bad thing either.

I'll put it bluntly.

My time in college almost killed me and my career. Literally. Sometimes I wish it had, because life can be worse than the alternative.

Not surprisingly, I am not fond of them or what they stand for.

Sorry to hear your experiences were not as you wanted

Mooooorning everyone. Got a busy day on the horizon...have to get my hair done and my drivers license renewed. They are doing some weird thing in Oregon now where you have to go in to get it renewed and then they issue you a temporary card and mail you your real one within the month....so that they can map your features and the changes over all your drivers license photos to track you. It's supposed to prevent id theft. It feels like something completely different, but I won't go there

Okay...the birthday is over. I find it significant that the two most significant things to happen on August 1st are the Texas Tower Massacre, and the Minneapolis bridge collapse.

See Chief, if you hadn't been born on Aug 1st, there'd be no reason to celebrate...there's got to be some happy to balance out the sad, right? :)

I wish I could believe that. I've seen so many get away with it for so many years.

It just proves to be that karma whacks those who really, honestly try to be good people at heart, and the genuinely evil have learned how to get away with it.

Groan... I'm officially a measurebator...

Someone wanted to know the difference between minum focus distance of the 24-105 at 100mm and the 100mm macro lens.

The difference in minimum focus distance is about 4 inches, but it makes the world of difference.

If I had to do it all over again...I would never have gone to college.

Better to be happy and make less $$ than suffer for everything you believe in.

I agree with you here... Alas, my former boss and my Mother really think I need to go to college. I will give a try for one year... We will see what I think after that.

Personally, I had so many doors open to me while working at the City, a lot of companies were asking if I could do stuff for them. And what do I tell them? Sorry, the next four years of my life I am paying someone.... Just for the off chance that I will make $10K more a year...

I don't want to be "rich" (and rich is a relative term) - I just want to be happy.

You have no idea how much I envy people who had the time of their lives there... it really does hurt :(

I get that too... And I think - why would I want to spend all the money for just "fun" - think of all the lenses I could buy :-D

I read about that facial feature mapping... Really cool!
