Groan... I'm officially a measurebator...

Someone wanted to know the difference between minum focus distance of the 24-105 at 100mm and the 100mm macro lens.

The difference in minimum focus distance is about 4 inches, but it makes the world of difference.

https://photography-on-the.net …php?p=3654490&postcount=7

That qualifies as a fairly significant difference...noteworthy and not necessarily classic measurebator action! This actually depicts a worthwhile concept....:D

one thing that I love about lightroom: you can find all your photos with a particular camera or lens....I was looking for one with my 14mm and I couldn't find it, then I remembered that search...waywayway too cool.

that is all.....back to your regularly scheduled fun

Okay...the birthday is over. I find it significant that the two most significant things to happen on August 1st are the Texas Tower Massacre, and the Minneapolis bridge collapse.

Aww, Chief! Your b-day offsets all of that bad juju.

So... who wants to place bets that Lisa will hit 30K by this time next year :-D

First she's got to make 15K before packing it in tonight. That's a lot of "Nice Duck", if she can bear saying it!

I hope she views "lap dog" as a less active task than Smiley does.

I saw the most beautiful puppy yesterday on the forum...it was a king Charles spaniel and I just fell in love with it. I read all about it online earlier and it looks like the perfect dog to keep company with cats. I was all set to look into it and even looked up some breeders...until I found that the average cost is $2000. Then I decided I'd stay with cats. But, if I ever DID have a dog, that would be one I'd seriously consider (we don't have much of a yard you see...so a big dog is out) and it said the KC spaniel was perfect as an apartment dweller (which our house is much larger than an apartment, we just have no yard to speak of).

okay, (though I accidentally just posted this on TPBM...and was going to erase it but thought "heck no, I need the post count" LOL) I just realized if I DON'T hit it today, I may not hit it until Monday or Tues. and that would wreck my yearly average!!

I'd start a thread but I'd probably get the life tormented out of me so maybe I will just go say nice duck on 55 threads...

Mooorning everyone. Took a while to catch up on all of last nights posts :)

Permie, happy one year POTN anniversary. Seriously, if you want lots of posts quickly, go and talk to the kiwi's in their thread. They should be awake and chatty by now.

they don't know me...LOL actually, I'd best keep my chatting down to these two threads because otherwise my sparkling reputation might be shot forever as a chatterbox!
