I saw the most beautiful puppy yesterday on the forum...it was a king Charles spaniel and I just fell in love with it. I read all about it online earlier and it looks like the perfect dog to keep company with cats. I was all set to look into it and even looked up some breeders...until I found that the average cost is $2000. Then I decided I'd stay with cats. But, if I ever DID have a dog, that would be one I'd seriously consider (we don't have much of a yard you see...so a big dog is out) and it said the KC spaniel was perfect as an apartment dweller (which our house is much larger than an apartment, we just have no yard to speak of).

That was a cutie, wasn't she? Google Cavalier King Charles Rescue. But try to meet some live and in person before you commit. We've got/had somewhere over a dozen rescues - Shih Tzu, Peke, Lhasa, Chihuahua & poodle in puerbred and various crosses over the years, and fostered another dozen or so. And we're still active (surprise - you saw the pictures for the calendar I did, right?) in Peke rescue.

I'm here. Just had a chore to finish.
wanna see a pic of all the crap I pulled out of the tub drain? I've been bugging them more than a week now with no results so just decided to take it apart myself.

Go for it.

"who ME?"
"Yes, ME!"
"Well, okay then, but it might bore ME"
"Righty ho then"

I have a little company tomorrow, then am on my own May go try to find the downtowns of these little suburbs. Should go to the zoo to take pics for Bean's wall (my one chore and I have yet to fulfill it). It's gonna be hot and I'm a wimp. I imagine I will sleep and read. Today I hooked up the washer and drier (enormous chore considering the layout of my laundry closet.) cleaned the tub, flipped the mattress, cleaned the Gaping Drain Hole of Evil and now I am washing linens and clothes. I think I will want a break after tonight. ha

That sounds like fun actually...exploring a new city. I'd love it!

you know, this is the first time I've thought that in over 20 years...I hate being fat and I was SO thin when I was smoking...I'm not advocating smoking and I'm not going to start again...I was just surprised that I thought that myself.

First place to go - they're usually past some of the earlier tormenting stages, they'll have been vetted thoroughly, so you'll know they're in good health, and they know they're getting that second chance, so they're specially appreciative.

Which 12-24? Tokina or Sigma? I'm so tempted by the Sigma! If it's been out when I was getting my UWA, I would have got it; instead I have their 15-30. Which is still really great on the 5D, and not too bad on the 20D/D60.

The sigma. I borrowed it off a fellow POTN'er while she was using my lensbaby. I like the idea of the sigma if i go full frame or even a 1.3x, but i dont know how long that would be. Trouble is, i can probably get both that and the 10-20 for around the same price (the 12-24 off someone on here)

Hey! I just passed Tom & Mo on the thread posts for Round 2. And I'm all the way up to 10% of Permie's total here!

Depends on how much you want to move to one of the larger-format bodies then. I didn't have a choice, since when I got mine, it was for the D60 (pre-EF-S mounts). But if you're staying with the 1.6x crop, even a 10-20 doesn't get you as wide as a 15 on FF.

I was going to say you need to stick around and cheer Permie on, but I realized I have to get up at 5:15 tomorrow AM, and we've got people coming over tomorrow night, so it's going to be a long day. I need some sleep before then! And telling someone else to stay on while I'm leaving just doesn't seem right.

uh...it's gonna be pretty hard to do this WHEN I'M ALONE in here!

Awwwww, I'll join you. they have blocked the internet at work so I can no longer jump on during my breaks (I get 2 half hour and two 10 minute breaks but they seem to think I should be working through them anyways:evil:).

But I am off for a couple of nights now.....

I just had a brand new shower installed...the first one has had problems for the past 7 years since we built this place and I couldn't get anyone to deal with it until my wall started to concave from all the moisture!!!!!

On Aug. 13th I am having a new kitchen and entry floor installed for the same reason...faulty workmanship.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.
