I'm pissed off, the reason why there is going to be no 40D for me is that resale value absolutely stinks on the lower end models. You buy them and drive them till they fall apart and then you dump them. Or you put them on a shelf and never use them again. If for no other reason, the pro models hold their value. Or at least the good thing about my 1D2 is that it is already mostly depreciated. The 1DsM3 is way out of my price range and more camera than I need*. If I won't cough up for a 1DM3, chances are a "s" is even further off the radar. * it has all the features I don't need, and none of those that I do need... that's why I am happy to upgrade mine. 4 years with the same camera. it's kinda lost that new camera feel.
