Anybody seen Bourne Ultimatum yet ?

I saw it yesterday. I thought it was great. Action from start to finish. The ending was a little surprising.

Theres only 1 week until I am in africa :D I can't wait.

I saw it the day it came out - I loved it!!

What are you doing lens wise? (and congrats on the 40D...actually it's upgrades really DO impress me)

Well... I am going to sell my 85 f/1.8... I just don't use it enough to justify owning it. I am going to sell my 70-200 f/2.8 non-IS, debating what I will get after that... and I am going to rent the Sigma 120-300 f/2.8 and if the AF is quick enough, I will sell my 400mm f/5.6 and get the Sigma w/1.4x TC

Just watching the little league world series... but they have a weather delay... so I am surfing here.

I had sworn I wouldn't upgrade to the 40d. I was sure it was going to be like the 30d and not really be a big upgrade. But the more I look at the features, the more I think that it really is an UPGRADE rather than bigger screen and a larger buffer.

That said, the features make it hard to not want to upgrade. Then again, I have to remember that I have to pay for school and all that. (Plus Bailey keeps telling me no new camera stuff... that helps put things back in perspective... :-D). That said, If I find as good a deal on one as I did on my 30d... I might find it hard to resist. That said, who knows what I am going to get used for a 30d considering how much of a problem yoda has had selling his. Then again he is international too...

*sigh* I hate fancy new things...

I know I plan on holding off for a while. (who know what we might find in the rebates :-D).

That said, I think people are making a bigger deal out of the weather sealing than they probably should be. It sounds kinda sketchy to me, is sure doesn't sound like the sealing in the 1d bodies (that is to be expected)

That said, I think I would prefer to upgrade to a 1d body... but that 40d does have some nice things (including price) that makes it purty.

Canon calls it "weather resistant" in their press release, not weather sealed. Still - it has MORE sealing than the 20D/30D and those have put up with some rain...

Would a 1D be nice? Sure. Would a 5D be nice? Sure. But for the price, the 40D is a great compromise...

HUSH SCOTT!

You are supposed to say, yes, the 1d would be much better. You should wait and save for one and keep your perfectly fine 30d for some time to come :).

I am going to wait and see how the 40D performs.... I am really tempted to keep it... I have wanted two bodies enough times and have missed a shot because the right lens wasn't on the body....

The 20D still has life in it....

On the other hand... will it end up not being used a lot and just be a waste? But then... when I need it I will have it...

Yea, and you also have to see what the value of it will be on the used market. I wonder what the 10d is worth now.. hmm.

Craigslist is a good used market :-) The people who visit there aren't always up on the latest tech and don't know that the value has dropped :-D
