Whooohoo! One of the major national papers, and also the main west coast paper did an article on us last Wednesday and we've been waiting for it. It's a short local article about the online friends community I am active in. One guy noticed it's up online now (only in Swedish though), but it's not just under the Gothenburg local headline, but ON THE FRONT PAGE of the website! Whooohoo!!! And it'll be in the print one tomorrow then, which means I'll get to see my ugly mug in the paper...

I hope we get tons of active new members!

:-( Paperwork!!! Grr... I don't want to go :-( Like, orientation starts Thursday (Thurs-Sunday) and I am trying to see if I can skip part of it on Friday so I can take pictures of balloons... this school thing is really cramping my schedule...

Scott, priorities, man, priorities!! Don't make me come up there!

We have 2 here in Salem. I am there almost every Saturday morning before the Saturday Market and buy a loaf of their Dakota for the following week. They have other excellent stuff as well. I wouldn't mind owning one of those franchises! They're excellent.

okay a really bad photo of a weird crash of a tanker truck into a river on I-5 yesterday (I was using the olympus and even though Chris drove slowly by the wreck, the shutter lag was SO bad that it didn't shoot until we were almost past the wreck)....the weird thing is that it's not on the news or in the paper. This was at 1:02pm and there were several hazmat trucks there by 4pm but the only crash in the paper was a 4:30 crash consisting of a semi & two passenger vehicles. Personally I WANT TO KNOW what's been spilled in our river!

congrats on that :)

it's it funny, canon release a new body and it only keeps some poeple happy and some people seem to think that canon has let them down. Like canon owes us something when designing a camera.

If one looks at the specs from the 30D to the 40D, there are a number of features that would make it interesting. Lower noise for one. I had a look at one of the shots on the web, ISO800 and noise, hell at first thought I was thinking that it's ISO100. gee I really do think that some people expect far to much.

Wow - that is pretty bad lag - and kinda scary about what might be in the river....

I think they were more irritated that our dinner didn't come until well over an hour after we were seated (I think it was closer to an hour and a half from when we sat down but I'm not positive)....we got out of the restaurant 2 hrs after we arrived and even though we were having a good time it was rather trying to wait so long for our meal.

Considering that she's trying to feed you guys rubber cookies, not too bad, actually!

And the fact that it took over an hour to get our meal!

I hate it when that happens. I like to get the food thick and fast. I go out to be hungry and I wont to feed. :) but was the food any good ?
