G'moooooooooorning

Im thinking a dedicated macro lens is next on the list, given its flahr season and all ;)

Look at the Sigma macro lenses - they are AS good if not a bit better than most Canon lenses. LordV, one of POTN's best macro dudes, uses the Sigma and WOW!!

actually with macro, it's hard to get a bad lens....the tokina macro has produced some ultra fine images as well.

I know there are six million things wrong with this shot...but I still like it.

Wow, I could only count 5,786,108.6 mistakes. I think you're just being too hard on yourself.

I'm not sure I read it properly, but I think the new G9 supposedly has RAW capability again. The G7 did not, and I was afraid I'd be using my G5 forever.

Has anyone ever given a satisfactory answer to, "We have a G7 and now a G9. What happened to the G8?"

I'm glad they brought the RAW back to the G series. I love my G6, but, honestly, I rarely use it anymore.

Moo, All.

Ironically, I was just looking at prices on the Canon 100 Macro. Probably the next one on my list.

a few weeks ago I was seriously thinking of getting rid of my macro in favor of tubes. After getting tubes, I'm SO GLAD I didn't...a macro lens most definitely has it's place in the lineup.

Im pretty much stuck between the sigma 105 and the tammy 90mm. The tammy is cheaper and seems sharper, but the sigma does have that extra reach

Agreed, but the tubes on the 200 is an amazing combo! I love it! (I may have mentioned that before, once or twice....)

Dan has the canon 100mm and I have the tamron 90mm...personally I like the IQ on the tamron better.
