Yeah, the noise isn't that great. You're just not used to it yet.

If it keeps bugging you, buy a 5D!! :D

I just went down to our Saturday Market and got some berries (Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and Marionberries oh and Cherries). No rain whatsoever. Very muggy though.

Farmer's Market snob. Corvallis one's not good enough for you big city type? ;) :p

That's awesome.

About the noise...don't worry about it. Nobody else did. And it's louder to you than anyone else in the church. Trust me.

Now let's see some photos!

The groom actually looked at me once due to the noise. lol

Going through some photos and will post soon!

I don't even dare to put it on burst in the church! (which I dunno if anyone really does)

you know the first time I hurd the sound of a 5D it sounded a bit week. I would be interested to hear what a 1 series sounds like.

seriously, when I got used to the 5D shutter sound, and then used my 30D for birding or something...it would make me visibly start because it was so loud...but THEN I got the MKIII...seriously, that thing is the noisiest camera I've ever used. If the 5D sounds like a "wisp wisp" sound and the 30D like a "clack clack" sound then the MKIII sounds like a "WHACK WHACK" sound...scared the holy mooo out of me when I first pushed it!

I guess that means I should stay away from MKIII... ;)

But heck, I guess that if all the big shot pro's who can actually afford one manage to shoot weddings with that WHACK WHACK sound, then I can deal with the 30D. :p

Whatever! I was on my way back from lunch (Man, I'm on a sushi roll this week [pun intended;)]). And it's 10 minutes from my house.:p And I just stopped by for berries. No pics. Just the fresh stuff!

with either sound of the 30d, 5d or the 1 series they all sound better than a electronic sound of a shutter, eeek that's like trying to be a photographer with a pencil and paper :)

when we were out on one of the whale watching cruises, I turned it on fast mode. A guy standing next to me started to take a photo (with a p&s) the same time I did and then just stopped and looked at the MkIII and then he said "you probably took 50 photos and I'm still waiting for mine to get over shutter lag" then he laughed.
