The selections were not great, even the one you have to buy with points.

No - I am not good at impromptu. Couldn't think of anything to say, so I chose a prerecorded one. ;)

You guys were great with the stuff you thought up though. :D

I just got the most terrible email from an akita rescue person totally bashing us for leaving our dog at a shelter and failing him. I can't believe it, I was so upset.

Yep... That white icky looking thing is. Both slugs squirt out one each that meet in the middle. Bodily ick passes between both as they circle round each other, and then the withdraw their genitalia, say goodbye and part.

I managed to get the camera out just as they were starting to part.

What??? What is it with these people.? Surely they should respect the fact that circumstances in your family/lifestyle don't support the dog as much as you'd like. They should be thanking you for giving him the opportunity to have a more fulfilling life with someone who can cater more to his lifestyle.

Oh gosh! I'm so sorry, Crissa! Whoever wrote the email should be slammed into a brick wall. Three times.

"I am so very sorry to hear about this poor, poor Akita -- dumped in a shelter by the family he loved for the last 8 yrs simply for being sick -- as most 8 yr old Akitas are hypothyroid which of course will make any Akita act out aggressively. If you could not keep him I fail to see why you didn't humanely euthanize him, rather than dump him coldly in a shelter where he is scared, sad, confused and depressed. We have been in touch with the shelter and we will take it from here.

But I sincerely hope you do not ever get another Akita again because no Akita deserves to have this happen to him -- their loyalty and devotion to their owners should be rewarded -- if a family member is sick, you don't get rid of them, you make them healthy again. Sadly, you failed this poor old Akita. "
