Must have been an interesting when they both were in the superbowl

actually, that is rather a sad story in itself. All season our teams had been battling for those top positions...and suddenly they are in the superbowl! I buy all sorts of Raiders paraphanalia because I'm kind of an obnoxious football fan :lol:

Now, I don't know if you know it but Puddle was a minister (for many many years) and at the time of that superbowl, he was senior pastor at a church in Lebanon. The game had just started when we got a phone call that two of our daughters friends had been in a terrible car accident and they wanted Tif and a pastor there on the double. Sadly, one of the girls did not make it...it was tragic. So Dan and Tif left for the hospital and I was at home with our son (who's not a huge football fan and he didn't even watch the game) and watched alone...and waited for a call from the hospital.

my oldest brother jeremy is a hardcore raiders fan and hes always disappointed....he follows all their transactions for players and draft choices and evaluates.....usually he's pi$$ed with their choices

yeah, that pretty much characterizes a Raiders fan ;)

What the heck are they doing having a coal mine near seismic activity? I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but that just doesn't make too much sense to me.....

I cheated. Almost all the hospital rooms had the game on. I would be in the ICU waiting room with everyone, sneak away, pop into someone's room, watch for a bit until the scores came up and then go back. Got to spend some time with an old guy that was in one of the rooms. We had a good time. The rest of the night was stressful.

I don't know for sure, but I'm going to say that the seismic activity is new.?! ?! I know that there was a 4.5 quake in Panaca just a couple weeks ago, and there has NEVER been one there before.

I was wondering that too (re: seismic activity & a coal mine). How sad that it was one of the rescue workers who was killed!

G'night Max!

and everyone else...I'm off to bed myself.

Everyone THINK VERY LOUDLY at Deb so she'll get her PM before she goes to meet us tomorrow! Her cell phone isn't working (she said she doesn't have service wherever she is and we don't have her brother's number).
