Hey Jamie - love your flower picture!

Thanks!

I agree about the center of your flowers. How are you lighting these? Can you post a picture of your setup? It might be fun for me to set something like this up as I have nothing here gear wise and plenty of spare time. ;) :)

Yes I'll make a photo of it tonight. Then you can offer some guidence ;)

About 25% of the carpets we are installing these days are a shag, though they are a much tighter pile than that stuff from the 70's. And none of that slime green colour either. ;)

I almost put some of that in my bed room. It is much nicer and quiet abit different than what mom had back in the day.

would 200mm be too short if I was shooting highschool football on the sidelines?

Max, I am no expert on lenses, but I have shot karate promotions in a gym with a 70-200, and 200 was a pretty good reach. You'll have to do a lot of walking up and down the sidelines, but I think 200mm will work fine. Especially since I suppose you are not wanting close-ups of faces or anything like that.

nope, just full body shots......I want to get the sigma 70-200mm soon, of course that will take forever

I use a 70-200 on my 20D for football....works just fine. I also have a 300 on the mk2n...which also works just fine...but a 400 would be even nicer...just don't have a spare 7 grand in the lens budget.

Depends on the field...most HS lighting is going to cry for 3200...and you need a decent shutterspeed to freeze the action...

Terrible video of a balloon accident on CNN. It says 11 hurt but the balloonist must have been killed unless they have parachutes
