Has anyone looked into that jpg magazine? I was looking it is pretty cool. I think I may enter something in "Tools of The Trade" theme. They have a bunch of themes.

I have a perfect image for that - and the full res file is sitting in Thailand. :mad:

Will you share it? (and I'll take the socks option - no way I'm slapping Jamie's Mama)

You bet. Give me a sec to type it up. ;)

Best use for zucchini....

zucchini bread. Mmmmm. I have a recipe for zucchini bread that will knock your socks off. Or make you want to slap Jamie's mama. :lol:

Lisa has made a Sour Cream Chocolate Zucchini Cake that is by far the moistest, yummiest best tasting chocolate cake I have ever had. We have not had it in quite some time as it is way high on the calorie chart. Hmmmm, might just have to make a dietary sacrifice now that I'm thinking about it and salivating all over the keyboard. :lol:

You
I love currants. What color? :shock:
:shock: ;)

:shock: red :shock:

It is a rescue from a job site and I have never confirmed its exact type It is Ribes something. It gets green fruits ripening to red. I have always just known them by the common, gooseberry. We don't use them on landscapes.

OK this recipe makes 4 loaves. Make the whole recipe, if you can't eat all 4 loaves, it freezes well. ;)

6 cups flour
3 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
2 1/2 tsp salt

* 4 cups grated zucchini (NOT peeled)
* 2 cups vegetable oil (Don't give me that face, it's what makes it good, lol)
* 6 eggs
* 2 Tbs milk

~ Grease bottoms only of loaf pans
~ combine all dry ingredients in large mixing bowl
~ Blend together the * ingredients (I do it half at a time in the blender)
~ add the * ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix well.

bake at 350 for 1 hour 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Remove from pans and cool on racks.

I would imagine you need lots of light for a fig tree.

They like full sun but mine was in 50% sun and fruited well. They die to the root in harsh winters here. They usually come back up but mine did not. I stuck a butterfly bush there instead(budlea)

zucchini bread.

Uh, no... The best use for zucchini would be to fill a trash bag before you haul it out to the dumpster.

You eat jalapenos in tuna sandwiches too?!? I thought Mike and I were the only ones. :shock:

I put jalapenos (and hot sauce) on everything. Well, almost everything!

I"m serious, even the most hardened zucchini hater will love that bread. :lol: Of course, you have to like sweet bread. ;)

My mother used to make zucchini bread. I never cared for it. I suppose it could be a different recipe, though.

:shock: red :shock:

On of my earliest memories is of being in Switzerland with my Mother on a farm. They had a row of currant bushes along a wooden fence (with cows nearby). I was allowed to out and pick them in the mornings (supervised). YUM.

My kids used to drink Ribena - it's made from black currants. VERY different taste.
