Yeah. Yesterday he spent most of the day mooning about, trying unsuccessfully to wipe tears from his eyes and mumbling about how such and such a shot would make a great HDR if only he knew how.... He was completely inconsolable.

How's everyone been?

I've been to a weekend long motorsports event. Most people (with Canons) taking shots of the track were using a 100-400, I tried it, found it a bit clunky, so went over to the 135L. Much better.

Very nice shots Pete - the colors are gorgeous! And that last one cracks me up.

"I never consciously attempt to modify the behavior of other people."

Nah - I know I do it. I couldn't actually declare either. That's why I put it in quotes.

edit: it's never malicious though. It's things like encouraging the kids to do their homework by offering a reward when they are done.

Thanks. That guy is the mechanic for the race team. Great guy and would work ceaselessly to get the car ready, regardless of the damage.

And clunky - I guess because of the push-pull zoom, and the weight as well. I found the 135L just the right length and weight for me.
