GMAE all.

Neil, agree with the others about the haze. Nothing you can do about that... it's a great shot.
You did a great job on the pano too. No seams that I can see.
What software did you use?

Athena, have you ever attempted subconscious behavior modification on any of US??

No, of course not! :)

Becky N wrote in post #3847061 (external link)
Of course she has, who among us hasn't tried or thought of trying some of the shots she has created?

Really? :) Thanks Becky. I guess this was sort of unintentional subconcious behavior modification. ;)

so fast forward 3 years later...one day my wife mentions that the little boy she say that night sorta looked like my son.

I dreamed about Matthew when I was pregnant with him, that is how we settled on his name.. There was a horse (it was mine and named Aurora) and a very old stone building and a Nun.

One night, I got up and went into the bathroom (you had to walk all the way in, and pull the chain in the middle of the room to turn the light on) and there was a man standing in the corner of the bathroom. Staring at me.

 My blood ran cold on that one. How did you manage to ever use the bathroom again after that? Did Wade see it?

cfpackerfan wrote in post #3849757 (external link)
I did some research after we moved out, and a man (his name was Robert, incidentally) had lived there for many years, and committed suicide in that house after his wife passed away.

Oh, gee thanks neighbor, now I can sleep. In the 3 years we lived there, the dog barked an growled at that wall often, but was not daily anymore after finding out what happened.

 I am glad I read all this in morning's light rather than last night in the dark!

Wade never saw him. Just me.
We moved shortly after that.
And I made Wade go in and turn the light on for me everytime.
Actually, I think we just left the light on in there. Always.

My children talk about ghosts a lot. I mostly just listen - it's rather interesting.

the only time I was ever frightened by an apparition was at my grandmother's house...it was at night. I was in my mid-20's. I woke up because I couldn't breathe (there was a nightlight ini the room) and I saw over me in the bed, a very dark mass...just hovering over the bed. I screamed quite loudly because even though I was awake, it was still there...both my grandparents woke and so did Dan (who was in the other twin bed in the room)...it dissipated but I've never forgotten that. The only person who'd ever passed away in the house was my great grandmother (who I hardly knew). It wasn't a dream...

My mother's family had a weird occurrence in the old house she grew up in though. They used to hear the front door open and someone enter the house and walk up the stairs. It happened often but no one was ever there. They sold the house when my mom was 11 or 12...it was torn down not long afterwards and a body of a sailor (still in it's uniform) was found under the floorboards in the attic. Also a true story....

It IS interesting. Most of the time it doesn't frighten me either.
My little sister babysat a little boy who could see a ghost in her house. He knew it's name, and talked to him. That got kinda freaky.
I thought the kid had an imaginary friend, but he would say things about the ghost that had happened at the house while the kid wasn't there. (did that make sense?)

A bit off track here (forgive me), I know some of you guys have a portable HD/Card reader thingy.

My old GigaOne is very slow at copying shots off. Are you pleased with the speed of yours. What have you got?

I have an epson p4000. I hate it...slowest piece of equipment and the thing I regret most, of all my camera purchases.

Shame on you for not sharing a ghost story.

I have a Seagate free agent. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

OOPS.... I didn't see the portable/card reader part.

I have the Epson P-5000. Works like a charm. I use it all the time.

I know, frightening huh? My mom said they never felt afraid in the house...just unsettled at the door opening (it was never open but they heard it open all the time) and the footsteps...

That's how we were till I actually saw the dude in the bathroom.
Never afraid, just unsettled. Good way to describe it. Things would be moved, and we would just pick it up and put it back where it belonged.
Even when I saw him, he himself wasn't scary. Just the fact that I could see him was.
Doesn't make sense, does it?
