yesterday I realized that when I did the upgrade to LR 1.1 from 1.0 that the option to write the metadata directly to the xmp file was unchecked, so I checked it and have been waiting for it to finally finish. right now it's been going for close to 25 hours, and I'm wondering how much longer I should wait. I only have about 45gb of pictures, and the cpu (2.16ghz core 2 duo) has been hovering from 50-100% cpu usage this entire time (out of 200% total because it's a dual core). do any of you guys have any idea how long something like this takes? I figured it shouldn't take more than a few hours, if that, so 25 hours is a lot longer than I figured...
