I was on my way home from work when I saw a Black Vulture perched on top of a chuch steeple. I wish that the background was not so bland, I need to add clouds or something.

Here is a different shot, not so good but it shows the steeple.

C&C welcome and appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have the close up in color? The background doesn't look so bland in contrast to the blue sky. Moody stormy clouds, if done right, would look awesome though.

It was stormy here today in Atlanta, so I took advantage of it and took some cloud pics for a new backgroud.

now thats a shot! The new version is ten times better than the original. The original i said to myself, "oh thats cool" for the new one i said, "Holy crap thats awesome". I really like this shot. I also like it cause its a vulture and not an eagle which is usually used for this type of shot. Very nice, good find, good pic.

Did I tell you I am an Art Director? Not only did you take my advice, but you did a great job shooting the clouds. The shot is great. Nice job man.

You just restated what he said he was gonna do in his original post

And all you said was, "oh that's cool." Very constructive.

I believe what I said was, "moody storm clouds," which is what he did. I'm not trying to say he wouldn't have gotten there without my help. Lighten up man.

The shot with clouds in the background is awesome - much better than the plain background in the original :)

Coming from a person in your position I take that as a great compliment. Thanks for the advice and comments. For the cloud shot I use a bracket of three exposures and created an HDR and adjusted the tones.

Great work Glen.
You may want to adjust the levels a bit in the foreground image to fit in with the darker clouds background.
The lighting on the bird/cross looks a bit unatural now in my opinion.

Very nice work though !!
