Photoshop Elements 5 does everything I need. I has all the layering and filtering tools as well as a nice organizer. I tried out a trial of Lighroom, but honestly for my needs it just doesn't offer enough of a different for the price difference.

Picasa if I'm in a hurry. Otherwise I use RSE and PS7.

Gimp, Photomatix, Noiseware, RawTherapee, DPP, Zoombrowser...

I took note of this post because I am interested in freeware etc. I already use gimp a lot, as well as DPP and ZB since they come with camera.

Looked at the websites for photomatix, noiseware, and rawtherapee.

I haven't tried HDR yet, but I assume you are using the Basic (free) version of photomatix?
Noiseware - you use the free one of this also?
And what does rawtherapee offer that DPP doesn't?
