Hey everybody! I just picked up a 6x8 intuos3 Wacom tablet and just got into breaking her in after work today! I had never used a tablet before, and was blown away by the ease and level of control that it provided! I never would have been able to do this without it! Good bye mouse, Hello Pen!

I've been looking to get that exact model....if it's as good as you make it sound, I may have to pick it up earlier...

Dude, Do it immediatey! Get it from somewhere that'll let you take it back if you don't like it! Mine had a 15 day, no questions aske, return policy! I'm no artist! I usually tell people that the extent of my drawing abilities is stick men! I have a feeling that I'm going o get into drawing quite a bit after this!

Sure, This was done by tracing my self portrait, but It's closer to drawing than I've ever been in my life!

I've had my Wacom Intuos3 for about 3 months now and wouldn't go back and try to work in PS without it. The control it allows is incredible and intuitive.

One of my best investments I've made in awhile.

I received mine yesterday and it just blows me away. The control I have with the pen is amazing.

I chose the 6x8 as well and I'm thinking anything larger would be too big because you'd have to move your hand/arm all over the place.

Oh God. I'm going to have to get one of these. As soon as I make room on my desk. Danny - that is an awesome example of what this thing can do. If you didn't tell me that this was your first attempt at playing around with it, I never would have known.

How long did that take to do?

That took about 6 hours, but I was doing a lot of experimentation with shading meathods, and getting used to working with the pen! I think I could pull one off in about 4 now that I've got it figured out!

Arrrgh, been meaning to pick up a wacom board for years now... But as I don't REALLY need one I've prioritized other hardware. Stories like this lights the money in my pocket on fire!
