I've had the 50 1.4 (on XT body) for a few days now and initially I was concerned about a slight front focus. These were tested in poor lighting at 1.4. Today I did some retests in better light, and the focus seems fine. Any thoughts on this? Would anyone send the lens back, or is this to be expected in lower light?

f1.4
focus was on the "G" in Organic, but "first cold press" looks to be in focus.

The next 3 are in better light. No front focusing

I think there may well be a relation with the limit of the AF sensors. I've read somewhere it is EV 6, or ISO 100, F/1.4, 1/30s, and that is with the center AF point; the outer ones are less sensitive.

Of course, I can't find that reference anymore...

Kind regards, Wim

I was messing around with two lenses last week and noticed that the ceter focus was off on several pics. I figured out it was just me moving a very little bit back from the subject - could that have been it on the first photo? Did you try with a tripod?

Yeah I tried a tripod too, and I have several examples. But like dfindr recommended, I think I just need to go out and take more shots with this lens before I decide there's something wrong.
