here's a shot that I took of downtown san diego from coronado:

shot with 70-200L, 13s shutter, f/10, 200 ISO.

very nicely done, but it could do for some WB alterations.

Easily done in photoshop though:D

I actually thought the WB was fairly good, it loses a lot if you go for a slightly more "real" WB IMO...

I like the "real WB" better as well. Beautiful shot of a beautiful city. The trail of light from the landing plane may be distracting, especially if someone didn't know that's what it was.

hahaha, wow, I honestly did not even notice that was there until you pointed it out... but I can totally see how it can be distracting.

I definitely like the second image better. The WB looks much better than in the first. Very nice job!

For me I like the WB better. I know how you feel with the first photo because I use to like that before and still do. The second photo to me just gave me a good balance though. Keep up the great shots. I was just down there 3weeks ago, I hope i'm able to go visit again. I'm in the bay area.

I didn't notice the plane until someone mentioned it too! I love both shots. It's a beautiful city to take shots of, especially at night.
