Perhaps Canon has included additional fixes without telling us, or maybe these people are exaggerating. Please post any "additional improvements" you experience after installing your firmware.

I got mine 3 weeks ago, and it came with 1.0.1.0 already installed - think I got the new batch from Japan. Hopefully they silently fixed other things as well - I did not find the auto focus slow! ![]() Correct. I purchased 7/2 (rec'd 7/3) through edigitalstop.com @ $2,399 to insure American warranty and a valid coupon redemption for 340MB Microdrive and extra battery. I followed Canon's directions to the letter for both camera and lens coupons as well as used USPS Certified.

Just followed directions and the update was a snap. Hmm....my package did not contain such a notice. I stay in Singapore and that's where I bought it - no rebate or microdrive offer too.......it's the equivalent of US $2388.... You mention "other things". Is there something I'm not aware of or are you speculating that 1.0.1.0 may have addressed multiply issues? I was speculating ;P
