This Grayling butterfly (Hipparchia semele) was taken amongst the dunes on the foreshore of the Port Talbot deep water harbour. Caught it with it's proboscis extended whilst taking a drink of nectar.
There's a clue that it's not from this summer - note the blue sky!
Taken on a G3 with a +4 filter; although I'm won over onto SLR's, I love the fold out live view screen and still use the camera.
