Green horsefly? Robberfly and more

Got out between the showers today and found what I think is a green horsefly, I dont remember ever seeing one of these before.

#1 the unknown

Great series! The green fly is an excellent capture! You do have a great variety of insects in your area :)

Some great captures there- esp like the crab spider in #6 and the fly in #1.
Had a quick look on the web and don't think #1 is a green horsefly- think it's a soldier fly of some type.

Great set of shots. The crab spider shot is brilliant.

The moth colours look interesting from what I can see - I would imagine its a stunning colour with that turqoise.
