Don't know the species unfortunately, but I took a few pictures of this guy without even noticing a thing. Perhaps he had trouble while coming out of his pupae stage.

Aww... I wonder how the poor thing cleans itself -- They usually clean themselves quite a lot... :cry:

Really cool capture. Poor guy, although he seems to balance himself alright even without his front legs.

That's awesome. At first I was thinking to myself, "um, duh it's a 4 legged wasp." Then I realized...it's a wasp. I like it's colors.

Awh- poor thing- lovely shot though. Have to admit my first thought was that it is a bee rather than a wasp but I'm not certain at all.

Yeah, I guess it could be a bee... not too familiar with them though so I'll have to do a bit of research on Australian bees.

By the way, thanks for the comments guys. ;)

Edit: Yeah, I think I'd have to agree with you Brian. After doing a little searching I've found a few Australian bees that look quite similar. I'll try and see which species -- but thanks for the clarification.
