Here's a common darter from my local pond on thursday the sun came out :D so I made the most of it spent all day out
the darters have started showing in more numbers now hopefully we will get a break in the weather so they get a chance to breed

a few passes of different sharpening and some saturation adjustment :D

using different radiuses of your desired sharpening method. starting with a big radius then working down. :)

They much prefer warm sunny days with little or no wind, both to fly/feed and find their mate. The weather in the UK since the beginning of May has been somewhat inclement with just a few brighter spells inbetween. I have concerns for the reproduction of dragonflies in the UK this summer and suspect that in the next 2 to 3 years we may see a huge decline in numbers for the year of their emergence.

Icpete: A beautiful photo - an even bigger treat to see pics of them this summer as they are few and far between at the moment. The re-work on the photo certainly just lifted it a little.
