Nice one Pete.
Further to Linda's comments about dragonfly numbers, dragonflies spend most of their lives as nymphs living in ponds and rivers, sometimes for up to three years, before emerging as flying adults. As a result, the effects of this year's wet summer may not be known for two or three years when nymphs bred this year reach adulthood. Smaller species such as damselflies emerge more quickly and may well take a hit next year.
