So i was at the book store about a week ago and saw a book called 'Adobe Photoshop CS2 for Photographers'
by Martin Evening. Anybody else see this book or bought it. Is it any good? Or is there another book that is better. Just looking for a book that can aid in my use of photoshop CS2 for i am not an expert in it.

i Found that one a bit hard going for a newbie. It was the first book i had on photoshop and and as a complete novice, i found it tough work.
I later got the much raved about photoshop cs2 by scott Kelby, which is basic but suited my understanding of photsohop, its good for quick fixes and gives simple tutorials on basic editing techniques. Theres a lot it doesnt cover though, if your looking to do something more general.
I still havent found a book that is perfect, but Kelby is a good place to start. Evenings book is one i will try and come back to once i have the basics of Ps clearer in my head, but even then i dont think it will be easy to read.

Don't buy anything until you visit your local library. They have, or can get a ton of books on PS. Read them until you find the one that gives you what you want.

I bought the book recently on several recommendations, one being Tim's. I found it easy enough to understand. Right off the bat I found it easier to understand Layers and masks. A very good book.

Also, consider reading the reader reviews at amazon.com. You can also find tons of books there on every aspect of photoshop imaginable.
