My first attempt at a natural shot. Taken in the late aftenoon in mom's garden. Comments please. Trying to learn all this new stuff:rolleyes:

I like the composition of the picture, but I would perhaps recomend using a CP filter, ND filter or perhaps even a GND filter. any of these would help mellow out the harsh light you can see starting aroud the flowers. It actually apears as if the flowers are slightly blown out (light wise).

Since this was in you mom's garden, you have the advantage of being able to easily go back and try different techniques either in or on camera, or in post processing to get it just right.

I hope to see more of your photos and all of us here are more than willing to help a fellow shutter bug learn the ropes. A lot of us are still learning just the same.
