Ok so im not very good at BIF pics but had a go for the afternoon with anything that i could get so please forgive me for the subject not being in the middle of the pic and the poor quality.
All taken on AI Servo, think the exif is still attached on the normal images but not the 100% crops.
Used the ring of fire and the 300mm f2.8 with and without 1.4x and 2x TCs and have some glider shots with them stacked.

The last image was taken on AI Servo aswell and much like my MKII N although you could feel the servo adjusting all the time it was no worse than the MKII N.

I have not calibrated my lenses to the camera although i have found that out of all of them my 70-200 does back focus slightly and does benefit by dialing in 2 clicks of adjustment for it to operate like the rest of my lenses.I also have no custom functions set and the images are straight from the camera with no PP and sharpness set to zero.

Was suprised in number three which was a sequence of three shots as it totaly disregarded the telephone wire whn in shot on all exposures and i also have some shots of a swift or swallow which was directly behind the wire in one of the exposures. All in all the MKIII seems to operate a lot better than my MKII N ever has.

The equipment you'll leave at home will be the equipment you'll need the most!

Cheers guys,i know i could of got away with a lower ISO on them and would of been nice to of had a larger prime rather than used TCs but i think with the weather in the UK not being as hot as our friends have in the USA the AF system function as should in AI and one shot.My MKII N did not gain focus about 15% to 20% of the time until the second exposure when i was taking the same pictures with the same setup today compared to the MKIII which locked on 99% of the time and i think the other 1% was user error on my behalf.
