Were you trying to keep the smaller one out of focus?

Nothing personal but I would have tried to use a larger f/# to avoid the out of focus smaller catepillar. Overall, I like the shot. It also looks like the larger one is cut off at the bottom.

Do you have the EXIF info and what lens did you use?

I still like the shot! Interesting perspective.

No problem, that's why we post shots on here and ask for feedback.

This is another example of the capabilities of the kit lens. I think it's a great shot with some room for improvement on the next opportunity.
