Can anyone tell me if CPS will service the Rebel line of DSLRs if I were to send one in with a problem. I've only ever sent them lenses and 1 series bodies. Thanks.

Seems like CPS would be able to answer this question for you..., with a correct and accurate answer.

If you're a Canon Professional Services member, just flip over your membership card and dial the East Coast service center and ask them. I'd frankly be surprised if they won't service your body. Plenty of CPS members have a Rebel series body among their backups.

If you're not a member and don't have the number handy for the East Coast service center (it's the same number whether you are or are not a CPS member), it's (732) 521-7888.

Thanks guys... I knew I could call them and ask, but thought if I asked here and got an answer, then it would help anyone else that had the same question, and save CPS from taking phone calls from all the other people that might have the same question. In any event, I did call them after I didn't get a response here initially. They don't service the Rebel series, so the answer is "No". They told me I could send it into the same address in NJ, just don't use the CPS express labels. And I am a CPS member... I'm not sure what the point would be to find out if CPS serviced the body if I weren't a member???

Hmph, guess CPS doesn't want to waste their time, eh?

At least you can get it serviced just fine, and it being a backup body hopefully means you don't have time pressures looming.

Thanks also for posting the results of your quest.

I didn't assume you were a member because assumptions make an ass out of me, and because I've had clients ask me about CPS servicing their cameras even though they weren't CPS members — they just thought Canon Professional Services was the general Canon service department.
