Sorry your post hasn't gotten any replies. Here's one at least :)
I love ants but I would have wanted to get closer. They're hard to shoot with a compact (I know I have an S3).
The butterfly is nicely in focus but not very close and a bit overexposed. Keep working on it.

Gear: Powershot S3, Raynox DCR-250 macro, Raynox DCR-2020PRO tele, CHDK for RAW-output, cardboard, paper, aluminum foil, tape, glue, an icecream pack and a little imagination :)

Your Moth is actually a butterfly - a Skipper of sorts - I'm not 100% certain but it looks similar to a Red-underwing Skipper.
Picture looks pretty sharp - good try, keep on going!:)

A skipper...neat. I find it hard to identify all these insects. Thanks for the indentification.

It is okay if people don't post comments but I like it if they do as well. It is hard with a compact camera but it is doable and I am gettign the hang of the new camera. They will get better. I just took more and think they are better. Just a matter of learning what the camera can and can't do.
