Has anyone got their cashback yet? I posted my form over a month ago along with cut up boxes etc and heard precisely diddly squat! Anyone else in the same boat? I shall be chasing mine up this week as I photocopied everything before it went off and sent it recorded delivery.

If its the same as previous ones, they can take a month or two (or three?) to arrive, and some people get confirmation emails, some dont! - Its never the best run promotion in the world :-)

Hi,

Be patient. I have called and the guy over in Ireland was extremely helpful and has explained that there are delays. I have received my first cheque after about 40 days. The second is still being processed but I have also received a mail from them apologising for the delay.

BTW, the 0870 number on the website doesn't actually go to who you need to speak to. They will give you an 0845 (sorry, don't have it hand) number that seems to connect straight to the helpful guys in Tipperary. If you call, they should be able to confirm receipt which is piece of mind at least.

Going by this forum, I can understand why they're delayed! :)

Hope this helps.

TDCat.

I got £50 from them last week, must have taken around 6-8 weeks to process.

Got two rebates since the offers started. Each one took about a month. Maybe Canon have a backlog at present as the offers closed a few weeks ago. I'm sure a lot of people bought products as the deadline approached.

I have had all my rebates back
and sad news is you never had to send anything, you could have photocopied the bar code, and print out your online form, and fax everything over.

was rather annoyed I cut my box up for the first one, and did not need to, in fact, the cut up box one got paid last over the the ones I faxed
not that this helps anyone now :(

Yes, it does take a while. I think mine took about 6 weeks for a confirmation e-mail and then 2 weeks later for a cheque to arrive.

I didn't know you could fax it. Do you have the details to do this as I have one more claim to complete?

I'm waiting on one at the moment, but I did get an email about a week and a half ago saying the following:

Dear Simen Wells,

Thank you for participating in the EOS 20th Anniversary Cash Back
Promotion.

Unfortunately due to the unprecedented success of the 20th Anniversary
campaign we are experiencing some delays in validating your request which
may cause a future delay in the payment of your cash back incentive.
We are working extremely hard to try and turn around the amount of
applications.

If you have any questions in regards to this issue, please feel free to
call us on 08705 143723

Canon apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and look forward
to processing your cash back payment as soon as possible.

I have used the CashBack system for the 4th time now since I switched to Canon, and although occasionally you need to wait a little longer than their website indicates, so far I have always received the monies promised.

Do contact the Canon fulfillment centre if you are worried, though. They'll gladly help, and are very friendly. I did contact them once, because it took longer than expected.

Kind regards, Wim

I've just read this in the terms and conditions

8. Canon does not accept any responsibility for misdirected, delayed or lost mail, incomplete or illegible claim forms or damaged mail. Claim by fax, telephone or e-mail will not be accepted.

I'm suprised it worked for you.

Well I was so annoyed having to chomp up a box, that I did forum posted around a bit, and then actually phoned them and they told me to send all in by fax, I claimed about 6 items in the end I think, and all monies from Canon been paid out now as well, was quite pleased.

Certainly in the UK atm with postal strikes, would be best way to deal with it.
I think a lot of people complained re: cutting box up as well, and they would have accepted even just a photo or a scan of bar code supplied with other info.

To be fair to Canon they were very helpful
