Crab in some Moss

Hiya All,

As I've been not to good lately & now on the mend yet again I took a little stroll through the Churchyard this morn & found this Crap Spider in my favorite spot so I sat & watched it for half an Hr in vain hopes that it may catch something but alas Nature called & I had to get home a bit smartish by the time I got back it had gone.

I never seen one of these Crabs with such a Silvery & Gold sheen before musta been in for a posh metallic respray

Many thanks for your kind words & comments, guess I'm quite as I have a little spot not that far from home where I can almost always guarantee getting a shot or two of these, this one wasn't as small as most I seen in that spot it was about 5mm.

Hi Mark great shots, superb colours never seen a spider with a metallic colour like that was he gold coloured or was it the light gave him that golden sheen?

It was definately a Gold n Silver sheen over the front half of it's Cephalothorax also a few of it's legs had this sheen the Flash has just enhanced the effects I guess I'd like to get a Natural Light shot to compare sometime if I can find it again.

Hello Bandit 1

Hay Brilliant shots i was going through alot of your shots the other day! You have some awesome macro shots! I think the gold coloring maybe becus its going to shed its skin or it just had shed it skin maybe maybe not i know that spiders do go darker when they are going to shed and lighter after they have shed BUT anyway great shot i think the bits of grass on the first one kills it for me but me knowing how hard it is to do macro full stop little loan trying to get a good shot and with spiders if you move to much around them or to quite the spider runs so yea i think out of the 3 shots i would have to say the last shot is my fav Greats shots hope to see more shots from you soon!
