Not sure exactly which one this is, so again, if anyone can give a species name I would be grateful.

Hi Linda dont know the ID but the first shot is wonderful, even got a reflection in his eyes

I've just had a little look see & from the books that I have it looks like it could be
' Ectemnius cephalotes ' it's the only one I can see with that black spot on the yellow banding.

Page 237 Insects of Britain & Western Europe revised edition top line third from centre of page

Hope I'm right or I'm goina have a lota Egg on my face again

Thanks Mark for your comments and also for the info on the species. I dont have that book and that particular one isnt listed in my Complete British Insects book, so I am happy to go with your ID - thank you :D
