THANKFULLY however it only had EMPTY cards in it. But still, lost 6-7GB of cards.

Funny enough, I happened to lend my largest card, a 4GB, to my bro-in-law for the weekend, otherwise that would of gone with them! I tried calling the venue up, but no luck in finding it. Checked with the wedding party as well, no luck. Someone lucked out with a nice small lowepro wallet with some memory.

Note to self: put business card/info inside memory card wallet 'IN THE CASE' this happens again, which I highly doubt. Why? Cuz I'm zap-strapping the next one onto my belt.

i carry all my cards in pouch i wear at waist. too valuable to risk losing so they never leave my side.

put your business card in it with half of a $50 (ripped in half). they can call u if found and u give them the other half for reward.

Luckily memory cards are pretty cheap these days, but it still sucks to lose stuff.

It's amazing that you can get a 2gig Ultra II for 25 bucks now. I paid 10x that a year and a half- two years ago, literally. I'm buying up memory like there's no tomorrow. I'm not gonna be caught without memory, that's for sure.

Oh, and I carry my memory cards loose in my pocket...I don't see the big deal. I have like 5 2gig cards in my pocket, and a 4gig in the camera. 14gigs on a 5D...that's like 1000 RAw shots.

Life sucks and then you die.

There are two main things you shouldn't lose when doing wedding photography: memory cards and cheques (It's a bit harder to lose a lens, camera or other big thing - unless they get stolen). I make sure that these two things are on me at all times.

Where can you buy it for $25? The cheapest I've found it is $35 (Sandisk Ultra II 2 GB).

Yeah technically you can get a Ultra II 2gig for like 17 bucks at calumet. They're 29.99 or so most everywhere. Staples, best buy, office max, etc. Just look around.

Yup, even though I'm in Canada I still ordered 4 cards from them. For the $80 price for 4 cards (8gb) that works out to $10/gig. Damn cheap in my books. And shipping is only $15usd. Total works out to around $105cdn after I pay my taxes, which is still very cheap!
