I'm not sure if this is the right place for this (mods, feel free to move this to it's right place if it's in the wrong place), but I cannot figure out how to get my photos to show up on my gallery. It just says the photos are loading. Anyone know how to help me with this? Here's the link to give you an idea of what is going on.

SimpleViewer can be a pain to configure, with its XML file. If you can post a direct link to the xml file, one of the thumbnails, and one of the bigger images i'll take a look.

I might really show my ignorance here, but how do I find the direct link to the xml file? I will totally post it for you.

When you create a gallery with SimpleViewer you have to create thumbnails, images, and an xml configuration file that tells it where to find the thumbnails. If you haven't done that it won't work, instructions are on this page (external link). If you have then you'll have uploaded all those files to your web server. I looked where the xml file should be (external link) and it doesn't seem to be there.

I created the thumbs, images and xml config and uploaded them. For some reason the name for the xml file is imageData.xml. So, if you type that in, you should get it. Thanks for helping me so far...

I'm looking at the instructions for the latest version and the xml file has either changed its name or you're using the wrong filename. Also the instructions say to put the high res images into an "image" directory (you have them in the same directory as the xml file) and the thumbnails in a "thumbs" directory. Perhaps you should upgrade to the latest version and do things like it suggests? I've just downloaded SimpleViewer and worked this out by looking at their example :) I have used it in the past but i've gone away from flash myself.

Hey Tim,
I don't think I'm using the wrong filename because I never changed it to begin with. But just in case I were, I renamed it how you typed it out earlier. Even less showed up when I did that so I moved it back to the original way. Also, I've done things the suggested way, as well. I uploaded all the thumbs and high res images to seperate folders. I've also upgraded to the latest version (actually I downloaded the newest version initially but downloaded the updated version just in case). When I open the index.html file in the gallery folder on my desktop, it shows up exactly as planned. It's just when I upload the whole thing to my website that I have the problem. I am definitely running in circles, that's for sure. Even if you can't figure out how I've gone lost here, thanks for the effort :)
