My dragon fly

I finally had this guy stay still long enough to get a picture. I know it is not as nice as most I have seen here, but I have to start somewhere. This was taken with my XTi and Tamron 18-250 @ 250. With some noise reduction and a little sharpening in CS2.

Any suggestions and comments are very welcome.

Its a very good start to shooting dragonflies.

If that were my pic, I would try and crop out a little of the base of the branch that its standing on, doing that could also bring forward more detail on the dragonfly. Take a couple of copies of your original and have a play with it, that way you will get a feel for how you can enhance a very good shot that has just a little bit of unwanted space at the bottom.

Nice start, but it needs to be zoomed in some more.

Pretty good, but as well as the cropping already suggested, a bigger image would be nice. You can post up to 800 pixels at the longer side.

I agree with the comments above, maybe crop to put the fly in the bottom right to give the subject room to fly into.
