In Lightroom's Develop tab, under the Camera Calibration tab it says the profile it's using is ACR 3.1. Is this normal? Shouldnt it be 4.1? I recently installed a demo of CS3 and update ACR to 4.1 in that, but it didn't fix it in LR. Any thoughts?

LR and CS3's ACR will use the profile for your camera. Profiles are created during each revision of the software for specific cameras. Since your version is saying 3.1 I am going to assume you use an older camera like an XT/350D or maybe a 5D. If you had a newer camera, like an XTi/400D you would use ACR 3.7 I think. And the MKIII uses 4.1. This is normal.

As Mike said...

also, just to clarify a bit... you DO still have all the tools and capabilites of ACR 4.1 (in LR 1.1)... that ACR version you see only relates to the version of ACR when the camera was profiled.

I honestly don't know why they even show it... perhaps some cameras have multiple profiles to choose from???
