Developing RAW with CS2/Camera Raw & sharpness question

I finally got the Camera Raw plugin to open raw files with CS2, when I open the file, I can change the color/lighting and see the imidiate effect, but when I use the details tab and move the sharpness slide, I don't see the results until I open the file..

Is that normal?

Would it be better to leave the sharpness at zero and use smart sharpen or something else after the raw is opened??

You have to be at 100% or more to see sharpening.
