Just my second post here but have been following the group for a while. I wanted to share a few portraits from this past weekend and get everyone's feedback. Our oldest daughter turned three yesterday and the youngest is 5 months. C&C welcome.

The skin tones in #1 and #2 seem to be very gray and blueish. Also seems to be a fair amount of noise. What ISO were these shot at? I love the poses though. Especially those first two. So cute.

Thanks for the feedback! The only difference between 1/2 and 3/4 was that I adjusted the WB before uploading. I chose to leave 1/2 as they were because I thought it seemed to bring out her blue eyes better. Probably when I get a chance to bring these into Photoshop, I'll fix the skin tone properly.

The appearance of noise may be from oversharpening as they were shot at ISO200... The prints are noise free so that would be my guess.

The first 2 do look a little bluish, but I like them otherwise. Can anything be done about the reflection in their eyes?

I especially like the spit bubble/drool in the last picture. Haha!

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Is anyone a fan of this treatment? I'm on the fence myself.

I agree, the WB is off and needs to be fixed.
I really do like #1 tho as a portrait, instead of the desaturation you seem to have done the second time, do it strictly B&W, its got enough highlight and contrast to make it a good B&W. As for the color ones, the WB, some contrast and saturation boosts and a little dodging and you'd have some super cute photos.
Your girls are adorable btw.

I'm not a fan of the treatment, but I think it could work better if you allowed selective coloring to come thru (like when people make a pic B&W but leave a selected item color?) like on the dresses.

Cute kids. I love dressing my girls up in similar outfits. It helps so people know they're sisters (they look nothing alike, my kids, not yours ;) )

The last shot is cute with the little bubble but as others have mentioned skin tones could be improved.

great shots, agree with the others that the wb is off, if you turned on image editing ok in your preferences then we could post ones that we have tweaked for you.

Cute picks!

Color does seem off a bit and the outfits are kind busy, and distract the eye from such adorable children!

I don't care for the treatment, but I think Myk hit the nail on the head about the selective color idea. That works SO WELL with children (IMHO)

The color levels/WB need to be correct in all of your pictures. I do not like the "treatment" you give them as you say.

Thank you. I'm going to fiddle with the WB in the first few this evening.
