Taken yesterday at a local reserve,my first pic of a Kingfisher albeit pretty far away.Not too disappointed though as i saw the pair flying around,just need to get into the right position and wait.

the Jay is native to UK and Ireland,latin name from memory ;) is Garrulus Glandarius.
Hey, the EXIF viewer is a really handy bit of software,thanks for the link,i must remember to check if mine are still embedded before i post future pics. :oops:

It is a nice little thing to have. I got mine early on and it has helped me learn how to use my camera by being able to see the settings other people are using. :)

Nice one Ali,just missed a jay at our table the other day.


Canon 400D with BG E3 grip, canon 17-55 f2.8 IS, canon 100-400 L IS, kenko 1.4x t-con, velbon DV 6000 tripod, all carried in a tamrac expedition 5 backpack.
