Well, sound good?

I do a lot of portrait work and I really like primes.

I'm not gaining too much light but I know these lenses individually are sharper and faster focusing.

Anyone ever made a leap like this?

Edit: Forgot to mention that I have a 5D.

Can't speak for the 200 prime, but I traded in my 70-200 f2.8 IS for a 70-200 f4 IS + 135L.

Man, the 135L absolutely kills. Dead sharp lens!!!

The F4IS is close behind however!

Uh. why not all three? :)

I need a zoom for sports, but the 135 is magic for portraits. Add a 1.4x and you have a 190/2.8 and save more than enough for an 85/1.8...it's a real bargain for it's performance. The primes are certainly smaller and lighter...there is a certain joy to using primes, and the bokeh is better.

I will have a 200/2.8 for sale if you want one....
