If you have two monitors with the same panel, but sold by different manufacturers, will they produce the exact same picture quality?

Example:

Make/Model: Dell 2407WFP
Panel: Samsung S-PVA LTM240M2

Make/Model: Acer AL2416WD
Panel: Samsung S-PVA LTM240M2

Make/Model: Samsung 244T
Panel: Samsung S-PVA LTM240M2

All have the same panels in them. Will they all perform idenically?

Are the differences only in the "bells and whistles" that come with them?

I ask because if I am going to get the same picture quality from the Acer as I would the Dell or Samsung, I would be highly inclined to consider the Acer over the others. I don't care about spare USB ports or PIP. I have a USB hub and big screen TV's to watch television on. I just want a good panel for the least amount of money.

I think they will look a bit different, but i'm not sure how much. I think this beacuse i've seen Sony and Samsung TVs, with the same panels in each, but the image is different.
