I share my photos with so many people and a common response is that they wish or that I should of used Photoshop on some of the photos.

First thing how many actually PS there pictures and is there any key pointers, area, common places that I should start working on to improve my photos the max while using min effort/time?

Aslo would anyone care to visit the following link and after clicking on a photo click larger size and should be large enough photo to PS (I forgot to resize when uploading) and post?

I PShop EVERY photo that I retouch. Even if it is just a minor tweek, all shots need something. A spot gone here. A blemish gone there. A dust speck removed riiiight ... there.

  • Brighter
  • More saturation in the blues
  • Better contrast all over but ESPECIALLY in the sun beams
  • Saturated and brightened the Magenta air-flotation
  • Cloned out some stuff at the edge of the water at the bottom
  • Removed the noise
  • Added photofilter to the center of the horizon line to enhance the golden tone that was already there.

That is MUCH better. Color correctness is one of the BEST adjustments you can ever do.

Thats quite the list! sadly I have no idea where to start. I really must try a few when I get off from work. :-|

after my playing with it. yeah, few mistakes but i was eating at same time but just to show a bit of difference.

i adjusted hue/saturation of buildings, highpass to get some sharpening of buildings too. then dodged/burned the lights in.
i forgot to straighten horizon and remove the parts i missed on my mask. hard to edit with poptart in your mouth.

In almost all of your photos the horizons aren't horizontal. It's something easy to overlook but later requires straightening and cropping. If there's no horizon look for things that are vertical and ensure that they are in your viewfinder.
