I took this photo at "ladies day" at the races a couple of weeks ago. she is a young lady from my office, who loves to dress in the 1920's - 30's style outfits. any how this is my first attempt at colour highlighting in photos. any comments are gladly welcome.

also can some one please point me in the direction of "an idiots guide to changing eye colour" please as a nice Blue eye would be stunning on her :D

Looks like the butterfly is the focal point in this one.

Yes, that was the intention. to draw the eye away from the obvious and to make Kirsty appear to be more "behind " the veil part of her hat and hence the choice to colour the butterfly and not her lips.

I really like it and the fact that the focus is on the butterfly and netting really works well IMO :)

I love it! Very creative!!!

...But still the clever north wind was not satisfied. It spoke to her of towns yet to be visited, friends yet to be discovered...

It seems kind of contradictary to color the eyes, if your intention was to draw attention away from the obvious. I'd say it's fine as it is right now.

Yep - you could be right - i was wondering if by doing a faint blue eye i would build the tension up a little more, but the more i think about it id say its OK as is

I like it. The butterfly does seem to be the focal point but it still looks cool. :-)
