The painters will be finished tomorrow and all my walls have been patched. Which means PARTY!:lol::lol: No nail holes for pictures. Start from scratch.

I'm thinking about doing the Wall of Frames to show off the many pictures I've taken of my family and fun times. No 2 frames are alike, and most are 5x7 or 8x10 and some are 4x6. If you have a Wall of Frames in your home already, can you take a picture of if for me and post it? I cannot figure out the best way to hang the pictures.

Also, I have many, many free walls now, so I may do several rooms like that because I think I have over 100 framed pictures, some still in boxes. And how would you organize them? Oh, and I know some will tilt if anyone just moves. Do you use magnet and coins to counter the weight? Thanks, in advance for any help.

Good luck Suzy. I asked the same thing about a year ago and only got one or two pics and not much help. I still have yet to change mine or hang any new ones. :o

One thing I did think of though is NOT using nials this time. At Christmas I found these 3M hangers for Christmas lights. They have adhesive on the back and a little hook. I plan to try and use them incase I change my mind when I do the wall. I know you can get them at Target.

Well, we don't have different size frames, but about 12 quick framed (Hobby Lobby has these glass quick frames with plastic backs to hold the glass and provide holes at the landscape and portrait positions for hanging) 11x14 pictures with faux mats from photoshop super imposed on the photos arranged in a semi rectangle above our couch. The only issue now is that we need some ceiling lights to bring the photos alive.

My biggest problem is just that, Mike, what happens if I change my mind and the stupid nail hole is there. :( What to do? I think I will get the adhesive stuff and try it. My biggest problem with that is that I have 2 sons under 12 and balls go flying around the house. How secure are those things?

They stayed on the outside of my house all through the Christmas season without any trouble. I might test it on something without glass in it first before using it on the frames.

Check these out Suzy. Similar to what I was going to use but bigger and more secure.

Looks good, and very easy to do. How much are they?

A roll of thin self adhesive insulation foam cut into squares & stuck to the two bottom back corners of the frame will keep them from tilting.

Yes, that would be the answer, except when I put 25 pictures up on one wall and decide to change every one of them. Then I look like I have a wall with skin problems. ;)

Suzie -

I have FOUR sons doing the same exact thing. Nothing ever stays sane here. One son had an anger fit (he's now 10 but when he did this - he was like 8 1/2) and slammed the door open and made a nice hole (I had just installed a door stop for this very reason - didn't help did it :()

I have patched so many holes in this house, I keep the painters on retainer - they come back every year just before x-mas so my house looks normal (I usually wind up hosting the holidays - yucccccccchhhhhhhh).

Maybe we can have a mess contest instead? :D

:lol: only if you use a different paint.

As long as you use the same paint which was just put on you will not even see the touchups when dry. Use a q-tip for the holes if you want. I've done it, works wonders.

Painters left early today since they finished what they had planned and my sons went around and touched every wall. :( What the heck is wrong with boys? I need a drink. Diet Cokes all around!

Aw man...I know what that is like....my son did the same, but my house is new only 5 months old. Had to have the walls touched up several times.

Uhhh....I'll have mine Coke...with crown;).
