Would the 100mm 2.8 macro allow for extreme closeups, like an insects eye detail for example?

thanks!

Christian

Getting eye detail is a hard thing to do and even for the 100mm macro you have to catch things just right. At 1:1 it's got to be a pretty big eye. Of course, the MPE65 has a 1:5 which brings you right in there. Or you can put some tubes on the 100 and increase it's magnification.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

You can get a COSINA 100mm 3.5f for 100$. (AF or MF) I got mine for 65$ new, but I misread and bought a FD mount so I had to add a 20$ adapter., but still 85$ in total is not bad for a marco less with good optic!
