How do YOU organize your Fonts to find quickly?

I have been browsing Google trying to find a way to better organize my fonts for Photoshop. I am tired of scrolling through the endless list of random fonts trying to find a particular look. I downloaded "FontLister", but it basically just lets you preview the font, not organize them.

Is there a way to create folders within the font folder that would organize all of the serif fonts together, sans-serif, creative lettering, cursive, etc etc?

I don't believe that you can organize your fonts by folders and have your various programs read those folders. I have some sub folders in my fonts folder that I move some to. You can install from these folders but I've never seen a way to have that folder show up in photoshop's font drop down.

Realistically, how many fonts do you use repetitively. I have about a dozen that I would ever consider using. I make them a preset and then when you select the font tool they are available to you from the tool preset drop down in the upper left of the window.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

I own about 9000 fonts. I find "The Font Thing," freeware by Sue Fisher, to be extremely useful.

What, you don't google? Dozens of listings with a search for "the font thing".

Ok, lazy type, go here:

And yes, it works perfectly under Windows XP, but I can't vouch for Vista. I havn't upgraded yet (won't for at least Vista's first year).
