First attempt at Focus Stacking

Well i managed to get out and about today and although quite windy i managed to find a sheltered spot and take some shots of this fly. This is a stack of four images all taken hand held. Then run through combineZM.

Never heard of focus stacking what is it and how do you do it?

Good stack- worked well esp for handheld

Lance v- focus stacking is a way of enhancing the DOF by taking multiple pics from the same POV but at different focus depths and then combining them using software.

Thank you lance and brian. I surprised by how well it turned out. Im going to try using the tripod next time. But usually by the time ive buggered about getting it into position they have flown off.
